In Rainbows won a grammy for Best Alternative Music Album!!
I am very excited for them. Our band Solarcade has looked at Radiohead for years as the trailblazers and trendsetters (not followers). to me its like if they never won anything and Solarcade got big then the Grammies mean nothing.
I love Thom Yorke's voice ad Johnny Greenwood's soundtrack on "There will Be Blood" was haunting. Good for them. The Allison Kraus and Robert Plant was good but damn I didnt expect the to win so many.
Look like Lil Wayne didnt rack up those 8 wins. If he would have it would have been confirmation that the gramis are about sales reporting and not talent.

What did you think of the Grammy's overall? Felt like they were trying to please too many people by mashing it all together. And where was Metal? Anyhoodle, I plan to pick up the Raising Sand CD. Sounds good.

I totally agree with you!! The grammys is a popularity contest with shotty acts like The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. They should just call it the Disney Show and Bottomless Pocketbook Awards. Where is the talented bands like Travis, Keane, Dido, Julian Lennon, Bjork, Sigur Ross, Death Cab For Cutie, Morrisey????
Solarcade could care less about the grammys. Like my original post: If Radiohead didnt win but Lil Wayne does, it just cheapens the awards circuit media.....
